Sport is not about medals.
It is about identity.
A child does not quit sport because they are “not talented enough.”
They quit because:
- they do not feel good enough,
- the pressure is too high,
- there is no supportive mental background.
Mental strength can be developed.
Focus, perseverance, and self-confidence can be learned.
If a child learns to:
- handle failure,
- motivate themselves from within,
- find joy in improvement,
then they will not only become a better athlete – but also a more stable adult.
And that is the real goal.
